Barter Like it Used to be …
But Better Than it Was!

Barter Network  Inc. was originally founded in 1985.

Over the years, Barter Network Inc. successfully developed their membership through outside sales and acquisitions, and the popularity in bartering grew as well.

In 1999, Barter Network  Inc. was sold  to a capital venture company, renaming the company Internet Barter Inc. with the business goal and model of making barter an internet based business.

Through several name changes and management decisions regarding the direction of the company, Barter Network Inc. morphed into an on-line travel and media company.

In 2005, a new barter company, Business Network Inc. was formed by former Barter Network Inc. management. The goal of this new company was, and still is, to bring back the guiding principles and passion for barter that had made Barter Network Inc. so successful. Quickly filling the void left from the departure of Barter Network Inc.,  Business Network Inc. was greeted with great enthusiasm and continues to enjoy  a robust  growth in membership.

Fast forward to 2009.
We have changed our name back to Barter Network. Our new name better reflects who we are and what we do in the marketplace.

BNI has moved into brand new offices to better serve our members.

Barter Network is pleased and excited to introduce our NEW office located in Long Island, New York, Barter Network New York. John Ferrara, Owner and President of Pinnacle Barter in Long Island New York has joined BNI as President of Barter Network New York. Mr. Ferrara brings with him over 15 years of Senior Trade Broker and Owner experience.

In January 2010, Barter Network launched its newest office located in Stamford Connecticut. Susan McNamara, a barter veteran of 15 years is heading up our new office located on 45 Church Street in Stamford.

Lower Fairfield County will now have a distinct barter presence as BNI continues our commitment to our clients in offering the largest selection of goods and services in the marketplace.
